Bill has been recognized as a leading recruiter, named to PR Week’s PR Power List Supporting Power Player three times. PR Week described him as someone who connects some of the most senior professionals to opportunities, making him an indispensable asset to executive searches. In 2017, he was inducted into the PR Week Hall of Fame. In 2021, he received the Larry Foster Award for Integrity in Public Communication at the Arthur W. Page Center Awards, alongside figures such as Dr. Anthony Fauci and Judy Woodruff, in acknowledgment of long careers dedicated to ethical and responsible public communication.

He also served for many years as co-chair of The Plank Center’s Milestones in Mentoring awards dinner.

In response to the global pandemic in 2020, Bill co-founded The CONVERSATION with social impact expert Jane Randel, a weekly Zoom program for senior communications executives that addresses timely, critical issues.
